Why did Moravia Inc. become a distributor of Mikron
engines?
Moravia Inc. was established in 1990 to connect the well established Czech aviation
industry with the North American market. Also in 1990 we became the North American
distributor for the Vivat Motorglider, which was powered by a 65 HP, Mikron IIIA. Moravia
Inc. was instrumental in the successful North American introduction of the Vivat as well
as the North American certification. Unfortunately, the Vivat went out of production in
1994. However the rights to the Mikron engines, now 75 HP, were purchased and the
production not only continues but new innovations are in progress. Moravia Inc.
distributes the Mikron engines to homebuilders because it is a proven and reliable four
stroke aircraft engine.
